Founder Mr. M.M.S. Khosla, born on 15.08.1940 in a business family manufacturing electrical accessories, decided to start his own venture in early 1960’s after completing his M.Tech. Started Hindustan Hydraulics in Jalandhar with a small ambition to achieve some distinction in next decade in the line of the Hydraulic Press Manufacturing. With limited funds and resources in 60’s, struggled initially because of the location and lack of the vendors in this part of the country. In those days there was shortage of confidence in this part to entrust with huge orders by the corporate groups. With these limitations, small objectives were met on yearly basis to keep the momentum. After the initial hiccups, the flow of the business and growth was evident from the fact; major business houses started showing confidence by giving orders for big Hydraulic Presses. The company has survived through the toughest period of terrorism in Punjab.

Between 1963 to 1989, Hindustan Hydraulics manufactured large number (1452 nos) of the Hydraulic Presses for different applications such as trimming, coining, deep draw, forming, blanking, forging, moulding, scrap bailing, power compacting, die hobbing re-railing equipment, cylinder manufacturing, largest hydraulic press has been 1500 ton with table size of 2500 mm x 2000 mm with daylight of 1500 mm.

In an effort to break away from the customized solutions in those days, Hindustan Hydraulics had an opportunity in 1989 to have a technical collaboration with M/s Darley b.v Holland to manufacture the latest CNC hydraulic press brakes and NC hydraulic Shearing machines. Hindustan Hydraulics had difficult phase before the Indian Government opened the Imports in mid 90’s. Company had tough competition from the machine Giant like GODREJ who had similar collaboration with LVD. But with the dedication of the committed team, Hindustan Hydraulics always enjoyed a market share of more than 72% in comparison to the next competitor for almost 10 years, till latter decided to close manufacturing activities. After the expiry of the collaboration, Hindustan Hydraulics used the golden opportunity to enter the global market, which was a restriction till the collaboration existed.

We have exported more than 280 machines in countries such as Germany, Spain, Korea, Australia, Dubai, Kuwait, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E, Russia, Kenya, etc.

In India we have close to 1800 machines in every quality fabrication unit including Larsen and Tourbo, Telco, Escorts, LMW, Kirloskar, Telecom, Til, Texmaco, Titagarh, Cebbco, Hyva, Intenational Auto, Kirby, Zamil, Jbm, Neel Metal, Control and Switchgear, Rishi laser, Ang Auto, Zeppelin, Tata Marcopolo, Ace, Jcbl Marrel, Tata Ryerson, Frick India, Caryaire, Zeco Aircon, Claas, Jindal Architecture, Pennar, Komastu, Ingersoraland, Shenck, Swing Sttertart etc. We as a company have been part of the progress in all the Indian Government units involved in the fabrication activities such as BHEL, CFJ. GCF, DGNP & HAL etc. We have been able to provide economical solutions to the Indian companies for the CNC Hydraulic Punching machines which are a total in house development in early 2000. We have been looking to provide the latest solutions to the Indian industry for the CNC Folding machines and CNC Plasma Cutting machines, both the machines will be launched commercially in next few months. We have been giving the employment option to the local skilled and semi skilled options with opportunity to excel. Many opportunities for the foreign training have been given to the locals. We have been committed to the local society and community with obligations to education and general upliftment.

In 2008-2009, company has achieved a business turnover of 42 Crores.

We have supported and assisted in the technical upgradation of the local vendors in the last 15 years. From a humble beginning, today Hindustan Hydraulics under a leadership of Mr. M.M.S Khosla has become No.1 Manufacturer of CNC Hydraulic Sheet Metal machines.

He has been guiding force and leader to the complete team of Hindustan Hydraulics since its inception.
